About this role:
The Property Maintenance Assistant position performs general maintenance and upkeep of Marylhurst campus grounds and facilities. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Hours 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Position duration is three months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds including exterior painting, exterior cleaning, pressure washing sidewalks, etc.
• Provide landscape maintenance including watering trees and lawns, weed eating brush and raking leaves.
• Provides assistance with minor building projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Graduate or GED (preferred)
Experience: General maintenance experience (preferred)

• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate hand and power tools common to the trade.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND/OR WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to twist, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, and walk on uneven ground.
• Ability to lift ladders, tables, pipe and lumber.
• Ability to lift (25 to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 100 lbs. occasionally).
• Ability to operate power tools safely.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17 per hour
